Asked before a trip

The questions that reach us most often, answered plainly.

Can I buy directly from this site?

No. This is our catalog, not a shop. Every buy button opens the bag at our retail partner, who handles payment, delivery and returns.

Is a garment bag a carry-on or checked luggage?

It depends on the airline and on which of ours you take. Our convertible garment duffles are built to carry-on proportions, but airlines set their own limits and change them. Measure the bag against the limit for your flight before you go. Where we could confirm the outside size, it is in the numbers block on the bag’s page.

How many suits fit in one garment bag?

Two to three suits or dresses in our convertible duffles, depending on how thick the jackets are. A wool winter coat counts as more than one.

Will it hold a 17.3 inch laptop?

Some will. Where a bag has a sleeve, the size it takes is printed in the numbers block on its page. If that line is missing, we could not confirm it, and we would rather leave it out than guess.

Is water-resistant the same as waterproof?

No, and we do not use the words interchangeably. Our water-resistant shells shed rain on the walk from the car and shrug off a spill. None of them is built to be submerged, and seams and zips let water in long before the fabric does.

Why do prices on this site change?

Because they are the partner prices, checked on the date printed under each one. The partner sets the final figure at checkout, and it can move between our check and your visit.
